We work with partners like The Society of St. Andrew's to glean fresh produce from Alabama farmers throughout the harvesting season. The act of gleaning is simply to gather produce leftovers. Farmers across the state offer us opportunities, whenever available, to pick over the remainder of their crop. (Sometimes even planting a crop or rows of a crop specifically for donation purposes.) If picking fruits and vegetables for co-op members sounds like something you'd like to do, please fill out the form below and you will be added to our Glean Team!
How it works:
-After filling out the form below, a staff member will contact you to confirm your information.
-When gleaning opportunities arise (usually spring and summer earlier in the morning), you will be notified and can RSVP at that time.
You will need to provide your own transportation or carpool with a friend.
Travel times range from 30-90 minutes one way, depending on the location of the farm.
